Marta Sheynis

I was born in the Soviet Union into a multi-generational family of artists, absorbing the foundations of classical art from an early age. I graduated from a second academic degree (MFA) in painting and theatre from the Ukrainian Academy of Fine Arts. Today, I live and work in northern Israel, in the city of Nahariya, where I am teach in art education, stage directing and painting. My work is rooted in a deep classical tradition, which I reinterpret through a personal and contemporary lens. In my paintings, I devote significant time to the process, carefully exploring every detail, and combining traditional classical techniques with modern materials—striving to create works of depth, sensitivity, and timeless quality.
