Tools of Time

Photograph from a series dedicated to sculptorsโ workshops. The image depicts a selection of sculptor's tools marked by dust and years of use. Removed from their functional context and arranged in a restrained composition, they acquire an autonomous visual presence, transforming from utilitarian objects into carriers of memory and experience. The traces of time visible on wood and metal evoke countless gestures, touches, and hours of manual labor that remain outside the frame. Here, the tools appear not only as instruments of making but also as a kind of studio archive, preserving the history of craft. Like the series as a whole, the photograph approaches human presence through its material traces, exploring the relationship between memory, labor, and artistic creation. Print and presentation: Laser print. Presented with a white mat and framed in black wood.
