Sublimation

In this piece (70X60 cm), Abisdris examines a moment of pure vulnerability. The female figure, rendered in a delicate, almost ethereal line, appears in a state of emotional transcendence or Sublimation, with a single golden tear rolling down her cheek. The vibrant, dominant yellow background, contrasted with a deep blue strip at the bottom, creates a simultaneous sense of isolation and sanctity. Weaving together the visual languages of Modernism and Pop Art, the work questions how intimate emotions are transformed into visual icons in our overstimulated reality.
