Seam

This photo waited almost two years inside a folder on my computer, along with about 5,000 other drone shots, until I happened to stop on it. At first it felt like just another image — another road, another landscape — but the longer I looked, something about it began to feel different. From above, everything looks almost too organized, as if someone planned it — a dark road gently winding, cutting between two worlds that don’t quite belong together. On one side, pale, exposed land with scattered rocks and shrubs. On the other, a sea of green — dense trees covering everything, creating a sense of depth and life. And then I suddenly noticed the small white car, almost disappearing into its surroundings. It gives a sense of scale, a reminder that someone is there, moving through that moment without ever knowing someone might be looking at them from above.
