Gilded Fault Line

Gilded Strata is created in lightweight eco-concrete using a unique technique developed by the artist and finished in a warm gold tone that emphasizes the work’s topography, layered structure, and material presence. Layers of material are built, revealed, and opened across the surface, forming a composition reminiscent of geological strata, distant horizons, and layers of earth exposed over time. Within these layers, subtle markings, incisions, and transitions emerge, evoking traces of memory, natural processes, and accumulated presence embedded within the material. The work explores the relationship between time and matter, between visible and hidden layers, and between natural order and continuous transformation. The golden finish highlights the layered structure and the subtle transitions between forms, enhancing the sculpture’s sense of light, depth, and material richness. With its elegant architectural presence and rich texture, the work integrates naturally into contemporary, minimalist, and luxury interiors.
