Noa Hyman Dror
About
A multidisciplinary artist living and creating in the Arava desert. Noa’s practice focuses on oil on wooden panels—a medium that lends her work a raw, exposed materiality and a deep physical presence. Her work observes "existential fragments" within the domestic sphere: parenthood, partnership, and the body's surrender to sleep and rest. Coming from the world of visual theater and performance (a graduate of the School of Visual Theater and the "Fifth Year" residency at Kalisher), Noa treats each painting as an intimate biographical episode, exploring the delicate seam between vulnerability and comfort. Noa’s work has been exhibited in galleries and festivals internationally (New York, Philadelphia, Rouen) and she is a First Prize winner of the New York International Fringe Festival.
