Anat Keidar
About
Anat Keidar, born in 1967, has pursued art from childhood and works as a clinical social worker and as an emotional therapist. Throughout her years, Anat has acquired her artistic education through private tutors and especially through active artistic experimentation and exploration. Anat grew up in the Jordan Valley and currently resides in Haifa where she produces her current artwork. In the late 1990s, Anat resided in New York while completing her Master's degree in Social Work. This period was influential for Anat as an artist. Her distinct visual language developed and took shape through processing personal significant life experiences. In her contemporary collage works, Anat incorporates her own personal photos and childhood paintings saved from her childhood and adolescence. Her works provide great visual richness, inviting the viewer to delve into the very depths of her creations and into the depth and breadth of the emotional experience. Anat deals with themes of inner world verses outer reality, of order and chaos, past and present. Her artworks draw inspiration from nature and the symbolic world of archetypes such as tarot cards and spiritual symbolism.
